How do I restore from a windows backup?

I went to reset windows to a lower version to use a purchased windows key but backed up what I could on one drive, then put everything on a hard drive. I didn't realize installing windows on the hard drive would reset everything on it, so I'm wondering where the stuff in onedrive went?
