error printing from internet explorer

I get the following error when trying to print from IE. Each time I try the
file name is different.

I had recently done a "system restore" so am not sure if it has corrupted
some files.

Can anyone help?

[Window Title]
Windows Internet Explorer

[Content]
Cannot find 'file:///C:/Users/Lara/AppData/Local/Temp/Low/F7HRGKTI.htm'.
Make sure the path or Internet address is correct.

[OK]

Yes thanks very much, turning of the UCA worked. Any ideas on how I can fix
the problem and leave the UCA on?

Hello,

great that it worked.
In the last thread of the Microsoft forum link I sent to you it is suggested to set the Security settings of the Temp folder. You could give that a try.
Open C:\Windows. Right-click the temp folder and click "Properties". Go to the "Security" tab and click "Edit".
In the Permission window, click "Add..." and type "Everyone" and hit Enter. Allow full control for "Everyone".

I'm not sure whether this works, though.

Greetings,

Hello P. Di Stolfo
I added eveyone to both C:\windows\temp and C:/Users/Lara/AppData/Local/Temp
with full permissions but it didn't work. I also tried changing the settings
for all the user names there. I changed most of them but it wouldn't let me
change the Creator/owner - when I tried to change it it says An error
occurred while applying security infomration to: C:\windows\temp\~msdt.- I am
not sure if this is related to the problem in IE.

I have discovered that I can print with the UCA on but I have to run IE as
an administrator throught "program files" on the start tab. It also works if
I disable the "protection mode" in IE under tools/internet options.

I bit annoying but at least I can print.

Any other thoughts?
Thanks heaps
