Windows 10, windows.old folder empty

4 days ago I changed my motherboard, processor and ram. My windows files went to windows.old and my understanding was that I'll be able to access those files for 10 days. Today I wanted to recover something from there, but the folder shows empty. When I right click on it and go to properties, it shows that it contains 200+ MB and 600+ files. Is there any ways to recover those files?
