Windows 10 - File explorer freezes after I open a file

Hi all, Windows 10 file explorer freezes after I open a file. I’ve tried command prompt tactic by finding corrupt files and removing them and also the file explorer options and clearing the history.I haven’t been able to find a reason why this is happening let alone a solution - I would greatly appreciate any help.
