I am unbale to save a photo itself after resizing with Paint.

I have saved many photos after resizing in paint. When I save as jpeg (or PDF) I have the photo as well as the paint program it self. I am unable to drag and drop as the photo is brought over still inside the paint program. I get the icon for copy after trying to drop the photo. This is in regards to ebay communications.
