My free AOL has disappeared from my PC computer. No AOL icon either. It is not even in the program files? Was it due to a Microsoft update?

The other evening I went to open AOL. The Icon on the task bar was gone. I checked the program files. AOL was not listed. Before that there was no problem using AOL. I can still sign on to AOL going on Firefox but the convenience of just clicking the AOL icon was very fast and helpful. I tried to do a restore but I got a message it is no longer possible because the update was several days ago.
