My computer is so slow to the point where it takes forever to open anything

so my computer was performing bad already, so i decided to reset it but keep my files. it took a couple of hours to reset, but after it was done, the computer performs too slow to do anything on it. after a couple of minutes of being on, it will just start to get really slow. I have tried to use SFC /scannow but it says nothing is wrong with it. i have also tried restarting it multiple times. It is a dell g7 7700
