How do you stop Internet Explorer from being your default download opener?

Whenever I download anything, it downloads into Internet Explorer because I accidentally clicked always open using this app, however, I am unable to undo it no matter what I try and when I ask questions and find possible solutions, they don't work. Now, I can't download files or contact any Windows employees without a fee.
