Why any type of updation of PC , creation of file, downloaded file is not reflecting in it ?

My laptop use to show main hddo error error(error code 2100) but everytime after doing rebooting it starts normally, but this time it didn't the same happened I rebooted it after which it starts normally but what ever the work I am doing in it is not saved on it, as any type of downloaded file, newly created file is not showing in storage after restarting
