Can’t properly factory reset my laptop

I’ve tried to factory reset my Asus laptop and now that I’ve done so I am stuck on the previous owners sign in page (relative) and the password they previously used does not work. Now I am not able to sign in or get into the laptop at all. I’ve even tried to do another factory reset but I just get brought to the same page again.
