I updated my windows 10 and now my external speakers that are connected to my monitor do not show up and i have tried everything what do i do?

My speakers do not show up anymore after i updated my windows 10, they are external speakers connected to my monitor and they do not show up on the audio devices list and i have tried everything, how do i fix this?
