I don't have access to my previous computer anymore. This seems ridiculous I can't just deactivate it somehow without being logged in to the system it was originally used on. Can I add the key to my account somehow and then deactivate it like so many other programs do already? Is Microsoft really that far behind?Also, I thought the key was tied to the motherboard, but that can't be true because I switched motherboards with my old computer and just plugged in my SSD and kept using it.
