I can not upgrade 2008r2 to 2012r2 with the purpose of upgrading to 2022. We have licenses needed but not able to move forward.

We have licenses needed but the error I am seeing is the following: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard cannot be upgraded to Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard (Server with a GUI). You can choose to install a new copy of Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard (Server with a GUI) instead, but this is different from an upgrade, and does not keep your files, settings, and programs.
