computer doesnt realize one of the ram slots

i have two 4GB ram, totally 8Gbbut recently when i launch my computer it says you're using 1 slots out of 2 ( so i have totally 4Gb available )then when i restart my computer one or two times, it'll be fixed and task manager shows 8GBi want to know if there is an issue with this?
