how to disable windows backup files to onedrive?

The backup nearly deleted my other drives folders. I tried asking for help, only for it to be too simple and things I was already doing. I can't simply "change the folders" because when I attempt to, it will not let me. The option is grayed out for me. It simply will not allow me to stop. This is getting to the point where I might just nuke my entire Microsoft account so it will not do this. What am I supposed to do?Also, it has automatically signed my out every time I tried changing the settings.
