Why does my dell laptop precision 5680 shut off when I unplug it from the charger?

I had just recently updated my firmware and downloaded safeBios overnight. When I wake up this morning I find that it wouldn't turn on without the charger plugged in. The laptop would also shut off after I unplug the charger. The battery shows 100% but still does this. What do I do?
