I had windows 8.1, though it hasn't been activated yet, then I started downloading windows 10. At the end of the installation the Startup requested for my product key so they could activate the windows for me, and I wrote my product key. But it didn't work. Then I decided to activate it outside the Startup (i.e; I decided to activate windows on CMD) and when I did so, my HP laptop recognized that the windows has been updated but the Startup didn't recognize it.
