Why does my network button only shows airplane mode?

I keep losing internet connection repeatedly and when I click on the network button on taskbar, it only shows airplane mode. Sometimes wifi button and hotspot are available but when I click on them they freeze and nothing happens. It gets fixed when I restart the PC. But then again happens randomly. I have tried uninstalling or rolling back the network adapter and restarting the PC. It works for some times but problem remains. Please help.
