For the many others who I know have seen this by now - KB5041578 on Windows Server 2019 causes extreme slowness with the following symptoms:- Elevated CPU usage by the Cryptographic Services (CryptSvc)- Elevated Disk writes to c:\windows\system32\catroot2\edb.log- Very slow performance, with applications taking a very long time to launch, especially those requiring UAC/administrative elevationWorkaround:- Rename catroot2 to catroot2.old prior to, or after installing this updateMethod:- Stop Bits, Wuauserv, CryptSvc- If after installing the update, you will need to do a "taskkill /pid xxxx
