I am trying to fix my touch screen on my Dell Latitude Windows 10 laptop and this is what it's saying in the device manager.. how do I fix it?

It is not allowing me to send an image for some reason, but in the device manager under General for HID-compliant touch screen it says "Currently, this hardware is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer."There is no option to reconnect it that I see, also the touchscreen is sometimes connected successfully for a few seconds but then it grays out again and says it is not connected for most of the time.Please help!
