I left my laptop locked while it was remained connected to internet for 2 hours and now it is not letting me sign in not even in safe mode

I am not able to login to my laptop it is showIng sign in option instead of password box and clicking on sign in option is not working, i tried to restart in safe mode then it is also showing sign in option and not working here too .
