Why does Microsoft make it so difficult to access a simple password to log into an outlook account?

Why does Microsoft make it so difficult to access a simple password to log into an outlook account? Why does Microsoft play with people's lives? Why do I have to have a challenge to create an email that I cannot access because when you ask me to answer security questions the return is always that there is no match? Are you people mad? I cannot access an email in your outlook, which is deeply annoying.
