I have just purchased Minecraft Java and Bedrock Deluxe Edition for my son to use and he cannot access the Java Edition

It was not made obvious in the documentation that you cannot buy Minecraft Java Edition and use Family share so your child can use it. My 10 year old son does not have access to buying anything digitally yet. Is there a way to transfer ownership of Minecraft Java Edition to his email account from mine? I do not want to buy Minecraft Java Edition again just so he can use it. I am based in the UK.Many thanks
