Windows 10 Pro - why can't I type anything in Taskbar Search Area?

Hi,I am running Windows 10 Pro. Recently, I have been unable to type anything in the Search area in my Taskbar (where there is a magnifying glass with the text "Type here to search". When I click in this Search area, the cursor moves there as if it is ready to accept input, but when I type, nothing appears.If anyone can suggest how I can solve this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks in advance,Paul
