How to fix the error message in the windows updates???

When I go into settings and go to windows updates there's literally nothing there but a message saying "error try again later"Like it's been like this for ages now and everytime I try to fix something I watch a video and they tell me that one way would be to update windows but I literaally cant do anything like wth. My wifi's been super slow on my pc only lately too and idk what to do someone please help~!
