Query blocking issue in MS SQL server 2017

We are facing slowing in Labware LIMS system when DataParc is reading a data from View residing in a LIMS database(MS SQL). We have observed queries are generating blocking query causing other queries or transactions to wait until the blocking query completes its execution. For now, we have redirected the DataParc read only queries to Secondary node. Can you please suggest fi any configuration change is required on the MS SQL server end or what is going to be best architecture to resolve it.
