Can i recovery files from Notepad, that randomly disappeared?

So, I opened the Notepad app earlier this morning and a few pages worth of notes I had, disappeared, the tabs were closed out and gone. I am positive I never closed them, and I have been trying to find ways to recover them with no success. Can someone please help me?
