I can't extend to my second monitor.

I was looking at my refresh rates on my second monitor and tried to change from 50hz to 100hz but it made my screen turn off. So, I changed it back to 50hz but it still wont extend it. I can duplicate or put it on screen 1 or 2 and it works fine, but when I try and extend, it turns screen 2 off and wont detect it.
