I have alot of windows host processes running and i mean like over a hundred, is this normal or is there a problem?

When i open task manager i literally have hundreds of RUNDLL windows host processes running and it looks like its taking up alot of my memory, just wondering if this is normal and if not could someone help me,thankyou
