Outlook cannot sort flagstatus

I use flagstatuses in outlook, but when i try to sort on the corresponding colum (flagstatus, the colum with the flags) mails are not sorted on flag status at all. Cannot find decent documentation either in various support sites.Is this a bug, if not; what is the point of adding flagstatus if you are unable to sort on this?
