i have recently changed my pointer and it always changes when i restart my pc

when i go to the mouse settings and then additional mouse settings , there it is showing the one one i chose ,but on my screen its the default one and now everytime i shut down my pc and then open it again ,i have to go to the mouse settings and i have to press apply everytime please help me find the solution to this problem i have sincerely
