Touchpad click stopped working

Hi,Suddenly my touchpad click stopped working. It can move normally but doesn't click. It happened after l installed a new battery. I tried all the software tips but it didn't help. I'm using a mouse now, but it's not so comfortable. I need my touchpad workong again :,(
