Do i need a password to boot from a USB device in the windows recovery environment on Windows 10?

My user profile for Windows 10 was recently corrupted, and I attempted to fix it, with a factory reset not working, all I could do was boot from a USB. However, other options within the RE require a password, and I don’t want to buy a USB just for me to need a password, and my password not work due to the user login system being corrupted.
