I'm configuring a computer to run in a remote observatory and need to prevent unexpected updates so I plan to disable Windows Automatic Updates in the Group Policy setting the policy Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update -> Manage End User Experience to "disabled".
