I locked my laptop using the 'find my device' option. I have now found my laptop but cannot unlock it. Please help

I lost my laptop and so used the option in 'Find my Device' to lock it and add a message to the screen. My laptop has now been found but I am unable to unlock it. I have tried all of the advice given in other articles/replies on the support page but none have worked.When I go back into 'Find my device' it only gives me the option to lock it, not unlock.Please help as soon as possible!
