Victus RTX 4050 Missing NVIDIA settings

I have a victus laptop with a RTX 4050 GPU, and with some convinving of my boyfriend i downloaded gforce experience and the corresponding drivers to it. However after downloading them, some settings in the NVIDIA panel such as the display settings are missing.. any recommendations of what i should do or why it doesnt work?...
