My previous microsoft account was hacked, will they have access to my pc files?

My previous microsoft account was hacked, Im still trying to recover it but to no avail I havent recieved a response yet.So I created a new account but I am curious if they had access to my files such as my local hard disks and external drives that are connected to it.
