Folders takes far too long to load

Whenever i try to open any folder, doesnt matter if it has 1 file or none, it will take far too long to load OR it will get stuck when the bar is close at the end, i have tried these two things, changing the "Optimise this folder for" to general items, and restarting my computer, both of them didnt work, i have no clue how to fix this note: files open like normal, its just that the thumbnails arent visible and the green bar is loading
