A client got the following error imaged below after applying KB5042562 , (blocking rollback of Virtualization-based Security (VBS) related security updates). This resulted in the up-to-date recovery environment failing to load, and even safemode failed to load with the same error below. This rare problem I believe was the result of modifications or the rebuilding of BCD using third party applications.The solution was to 1. Disable secure boot in the BIOS2.
