I have a corrupt Windows 2000 Server OS that is currently a member server. I
am going to reinstall the OS. Some questions. Do I need to remove this
member server from active directory or remove it from the network prior to
reinstalling the OS or can I just reinstall the OS and name the server the
same name as before and it will be automatically be available in active
directory? Will I need to setup mapped drives to my clients again after
reinstalling the OS? I have a system state backup for this server. After I
reinstall the OS, should I restore the system state backup or should I
manually install all drivers, updates, software, etc. like I would if it was
a first time install? Are there any articles for reinstalling the OS for a
member server currently located on a network?
Thanks,
