My "t" and "y" keys don't work, I click them but nothing shows on the screen

So, it all started a while ago. At first, I was just playing a computer game, and I wanted to type "thank you" into the chat, but I noticed that I had to click "t" and "y" multiple times for it to work. I didn't pay much attention, I thought it was just my laptop overheating or something (which wouldn't be surprising considering that it is 14 years old). But then it happened again. And again. And now, it doesn't work at all, even if I click it 20 times (I'm using screen keyboard to type this text).As someone who types fast and a lot, I find it very unpleasant.
