Out of the junk box I found an old Maxtor OneTouch 300GB USB hard disk. Had a PSU and USB cable with it.Plugging it in shows an LED so the device is alive, I was able to plug it into USB-A port on my Dell XPS 15 9750.The disk showed an error in disk manager so I opened an elevated command prompt and I used DISKPARTselect disk 1cleanexitI rebooted and Windows was able to recognize the disk and I was able to format it, an ancient USB hard disk. Inside the disk is an old ATA/133 class disk which places it in the Windows 98 to XP era. Disk label says MaxLine II. Needs 585 mA @ 5V and 590 mA @12V.
