How to solve Code 45 - laptop speaker disconnecting from laptop after update, earphones will not connect either.

This happened a Couple weeks ago, 2nd latest update that I have done with this laptop. I have tried downloading apps to fix the issue but to no avail. I've tried clicking everywhere on Device manager but have only received 'Code 45'.
