why does my mouse kepe disconnecting?

everytime I buy a new mouse, it starts disconnecting and reconnecting after 3-4 months, at first I thought it was a mouse issue, but now I’m starting to believe that this is more of a hardware issue, all of my drivers are updated and the power options is unchecked. any suggestions?
