I am using Windows 10, 64 bit Home Edition. For the last month or so, and despite shutting this OFF in the settings: ... photos.exe continues to run in the background and I have had to shut it down manually via the Task Manager daily, sometimes more than a couple of times a day. I work a lot with graphics, so you can see how this can get annoying very quickly. I don't use Cortana, no desire, have never used it (not even once) - and it is also disabled under the "Background Settings" listing - I'm only mentioning this as I need a solution that does not require the enabling/activating of Cort
