How can I get around bitlocker

HiI am trying to turn on an old laptop, and all I get is a prompt for bitlocker key. I’ve gone through my Microsoft account and this computer is not showing up at all. I’m the only person that ever had this computer (since new)… can someone please tell me what is going on? I can’t get it to let me in, and when I click to reset the computer it doesn’t do anythingThanksIan
