Laptop is forgetting my password even when I change it on my microsoft account? Help!

Hello, so my laptop recently has been forgetting my log in password and I can reset it in my microsoft account but it doesn’t update on my laptop and when I click on “I forgot my password” on the log in screen it says “The User Failed Service service failed the sign-in, User Profile cannot be loaded”, it’s been like this for days! I’ve reset the laptop and leave it alone for a few hours but nothing is helping! Let me know what I could do.
