Why does apps & features say its taking up 17GB of storage when my actual installed apps is half of that

I've downloaded treesize to see if I can figure out what's going on but I'm not a computer person so I don't know what I'm looking for and if there's anything I can delete. I tried including a picture but not sure if its uploaded. Please can you help, thank you.
