New Microsoft Outlook is difficult to load

I shut down the computer every night and find it difficult to load Outlook the next morning. A white display typically forms and sits for hours without moving forward. I have to close the window and begin again. Sometimes an icon forms at the bottom of the screen and if I click it, it sometimes helps.
