I accidently merged the incorrect avhd to the parent disk in Hyper V. Is it feasible to retrieve the avhd, or is there another way to operate the VM?

I was checking the VM for the avhd due to storage consumption, and I'd like to merge the avhd to the vhdx, but I didn't backup the file, so when I try to boot the VM, it says "Cannot change disk because a disk merging is pending." Could you please help me with this? Your comment is much appreciated!
